10 days Eco- social exposure tour to Kerala (age group 12years+)

  • ✅ To promote an eco-aesthetic-counter culture.
What would be the details of eco-social exposure?
  • ☑ Day one- Spend time in Sahajeevanam Eco theme Park, trekking, exploration of historic Palace, awareness of Nature-self-God and society and games and Staying at Sahajeevanam.
  • ☑ Day two- Mangrove forest, walk inside the local village and house boating in Kuppam River. This will help the participants to find God in creation and staying at Sahajeevanam.
  • ☑ Day three- Kerala Farm, eg. Paddy fields, rubber farm etc. to know the struggle of poor and including a mountain hike to meditate on the marvels of cosmos.
  • ☑ Day four- Interaction with school students in a school, visit to an historic fort at Kannur and a local beach to promote an integrated view to our existence.
  • ☑ Day five- Experience a local train ride and multiple- religious cultural insertion, includes climbing on Malayatoor hill of St. Thomas, Tower of Sree.Sankara and staying at a heritage place Sameeksha at Kalady to have the experience and appreciation of the religious diversity.
  • ☑ Day six- Experience the city & interaction with students at Snehabhavan (Special School) to help them walk with the marginalised and a homestay or staying at Santhinilayam.
  • ☑ Day seven- Heritage Exposure to ancient churches to know Christ in a different context and night journey back to Sahajeevanam.
  • ☑ Day eight- visit to Social Service Centres run by Religious Sisters for old age people and the differently abled to feel more with the needy. In the evening there can be a Kalari (kerala gymnastics) show and staying at Sahajeevanam.
  • ☑ Day nine- water theme park and zoo.
  • ☑ Day ten - free day recollection and evaluation.
The highlights of the programmes:
  • ✔ Homemade food - Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
  • ✔ Guided by experienced English speaking guides.
  • ✔ Free counselling and therapy in case of need.
  • ✔ Programmes can be as per the need of the group.
  • ✔ There can be some free training in Yoga and Kalari.
  • ✔ Separate Accommodation for boys and girls based on a dormitory system.
  • ✔ Organized games, displays and dances.

Expected expenses
  • Travel: Flight- $ 1000/ to and from per person (Variable)
  • Visa: $ 100 per person (Variable)
  • Food: $ 150 for ten days
  • Accommodation: $ 200 for ten days (Sahajeevanam/IRC)
  • Local entry fees: $ 50
  • Local travels: $ 50
  • Organisational expenses: $ 30
  • Other expenses: $ 20

Total expenses: $ 1600

(If the organising committee can take care of air Travelling and the visa then the ten-day expense can be just $600 from the day of arrival at Sahajeevanam to the day of departure from Sahajeevanam.)
Separate Accommodation for boys and girls based on a dormitory system. (Separate rooms for accommodation can be given for an extra pay of $ 100 for person(IRC)
An expected expense (approximately) is calculated considering a group of 30 to 40 persons.

What would be the details of the exposure?

Day one - Spend time in Sahajeevanam Eco theme Park, trekking, exploration of historic Palace, awareness of nature-self-God and society, and games. Staying at Sahajeevanam.

Day two - Mangrove forest, walk inside the local village and house boating in Kuppam River to find God in creation and staying at Sahajeevanam.

Day three - Kerala Farm, eg. paddy fields, rubber farm etc. to know the struggle of the poor and including a mountain hike to meditate on the marvels of the cosmos.

Day four - Interaction with students in a school (St. Michael’s), visit to an historic fort at Kannur and a local beach to promote an integrated view to our existence.

Day five and six - Experience a local train ride and a multiple-religious cultural insertion, includes climbing on Malayatoor hill of St. Thomas, Tower of Sree.Sankara and staying at a heritage place Sameeksha at Kalady, to have the experience and appreciation of religious diversity.

Day seven and eight- Media Exposure in Santhinilayam with students at Snehabhavan (Special School), to help them walk with the marginalised, and a homestay or staying at Santhinilayam.

Day nine and ten - Heritage Exposure to ancient churches to know Christ in a different context and night journey back to Kozhikode.

Day eleven and twelve - Kozhikode city, beach and observatory.

Day thirteen, fourteen and fifteen – Visit to tribal centres and forest.

Day sixteen - visit Centres run by Sisters for old age people and the differently abled. In the evening there can be a Kalari ( Kerala gymnastics) show.

Day seventeen - visit water theme park and zoo

Day eighteen - free outings

Day nineteen - Charity/ social work day/volunteer opportunity with farmers.

Day twenty - recollection day and evaluation

Accommodation: $ 300 for 20 days (Sahajeevanam/IRC/TUDI/Sameeksha/Santhinilayam/Home stays etc.)

(If the organising committee ie. the respective schools, can take care of air Travelling and visa then the twenty -days expenses can be just $ 900 from the day of arrival at Sahajeevanam to the day of departure from Sahajeevanam.)
NB.Programmes can be incorporated as per the need of the group. There can be some free training in Yoga and Kalari as part of our exposure.
